I’m ok as I only eat the thin variety and not very regularly as I’m not really a chocolate eater- I prefer potato crisps…..
but for those chunky lovers out there beware! Kit Kat are recalling their chunky Kit Kats for fear of plastic in them: BBC reports-
”Nestle is recalling some of its varieties of Chunky Kit Kat after seven people found pieces of plastic in bars.
Peanut butter, hazelnut, choc fudge and caramel 48g bars are being recalled, along with Kit Kat Chunky collection giant eggs.
The company said the products should be returned, unopened, for a full refund.

Doctors are now warning of the perils of too many sugary drinks again.
I gave up diet drnksas I found they in fact gave that bloated feeling and made me put n weight. I now drink the odd ‘fat coke’ as we call them.
Doctors ae now saying, however, that fizzy drinks could be causing as many a 200,000 deaths a year.
It’s always a good idea to have your blood tested, just to see what your levels are- I started doing this back in November when I was worried the rapid weight loss ( 25lbs) was due to diabetes. Fortunately it wasn’t. I now have full bloods done monthly.
Anyway, 78% of these deaths are in low / middle income countries ( we probably aren’t included in that then).
Researchers ‘linked the drinks to 133,000 deaths from diabetes, 44,000 from heart disease and 6,000 from cancer.’

Aptly green……this month is national celery month.
Celery is great – you can have it raw or cooked, as soup or in salad. My favourite way is with cream cheese, raw.
Go eat celery today- the rumour is that you use more calories eating it than their actually are IN it…..can’t be bad!
An old favourite of mine- my so actually made it for the family in Ireland on Christmas Eve and it was a great success!
kilo lamb pieces
four medium to large potatoes peeled
salt/ pepper/ bisto
Easy- basically chop everything up and throw it in a pot . Just about cover with water and add the stock cube. Bring to the boil and then cover and simmer for about 45 minutes. Stir regularly to stop it sticking to the bottom of the pot.
Just before serving, add some bisto ( browning) and stir……
Serve with bread, butter and HP sauce!!
