Crazy

Crazy weather.

One minute it’s raining.

One minute it’s dusty.

One minute the sun is shining and the next it’s freezing…..no wonder we all have colds!!

Weather

The weather in the UK today is truly arctic- think they should officially shift Christmas to March in future to fulfill that old Bing Crosby classic….’I'm dreaming of a White Christmas’!

That Drink May Kill You

Doctors are now warning of the perils of too many sugary drinks again.

I gave up diet drnksas I found they in fact gave that bloated feeling and made me put n weight. I now drink the odd ‘fat coke’ as we call them.

Doctors ae now saying, however, that fizzy drinks could be causing as many a 200,000 deaths a year.

It’s always a good idea to have your blood tested, just to see what your levels are- I started doing this back in November when I was worried the  rapid weight loss  ( 25lbs)  was due to diabetes. Fortunately it wasn’t. I now have full bloods done monthly.

Anyway, 78% of these deaths are in low / middle income countries ( we probably aren’t included in that then).

Researchers ‘linked the drinks to 133,000 deaths from diabetes, 44,000 from heart disease and 6,000 from cancer.’

I’m so glad I have replaced our daily drinks with fresh fruit juice….

The Evidence Says It All

That old cockerel that keeps annoying you….cluck….cluck….cock-a-

doodle-doo…. may have a point!

Scientists have just proven that roosters have their own internal clocks

which allow them to wake up at dawn even if locked in a windowless,

soundproof room…..

‘Scientists believe their behaviour is regulated by a circadian rhythm – the body’s own internal clock – rather than external triggers. ‘“Cock-a-doodle-do” symbolises the break of dawn in many countries,’ said researcher Dr Takashi Yoshimura, a professor  of animal physiology at Nagoya University in Japan. ‘But it  wasn’t clear whether crowing is under the control of a biological clock or is simply a response to external stimuli.’

Would someone tell the one that lives near me that 4am is not considered ‘dawn’…..well normal dawn lol!
